If you are not yet licensed, your first and last name is placed on the badge. When you become licensed, you get another insert with your callsign on the badge. If you change your call a new insert will be provided also. Advise the KARC Secretary and your new insert will be waiting for you at a future meeting.
Wear your badge to club meetings, amateur radio supported public events, or emergency drills. Be proud of your participation in this important radio service! Promote amateur radio by public dispaly of your affiliation.
The Badge carrier is a common stationary store item, heavy clear flexible vinyl plastic with a stainless steel clip that does not tear fabric on the back. The corners are rounded and it bends gently making it comfortable to wear.
The KARC Badge was developed by Sid Sniedar, AH6HH and Greg Greenwood, WB6FZH/KH6 in 1999. Greg designed the badge and made the first 50 .jpg files that form the badge image. Sid printed, cut-out, mounted, inserted and delivered them to the June 99 KARC Meeting. The Koolau Mountain Image is part of the photo that comprises the website graphic and the Newsletter Masthead. The photo was taken in Kaneohe by WB6FZH.
