The finite 2-meter sub band has been filled in the past years with the current coordinations that have been submitted. I will make every effort to minimize the interference of currently coordinated repeaters in the reuse of the repeater channels. The following factors; geographical separation, ERP (effective radiated power), elevation (AMSL), antenna radiation pattern and overall quality of repeater communication equipment play major roles in the effectiveness of operation and isolation. The  online access provided  by Joe Speroni  at http://www.pdarrl.org/pacsec/HSRAC/  has proven to be a great success over the past several years and continues to be used by 100% of  Hams with repeater coordinations.

When you are assigned a frequency, it is not coordinated at that time but instead a reservation is made for you on that frequency. From that date you will have 6 months to put it on the air as planned as you proposed in the request. If for some reason you are unable to get it on the air in that time, you can request a one time additional 6 month extension to continue your plans, if after the one year mark has passed and the repeater is not on the air, the frequency may be pulled back into the pool for re-allocation to others standing by on a waiting list.

ATTENTION REPEATER OWNERS/BUYERS PLEASE READ THIS

There has been some unfortunate misunderstanding over the past years on coordination. I will try to clarify key issues. If you already have a coordinated repeater and you decide to move it or sell it which would change the geographical location considerably; the frequency assignment is determined by area of operation and therefore will not be coordinated. Check with me first before doing anything pending what is allocated in the anticipated relocation area. Before you request a frequency, try to make sure your plans are somewhat firm. To make the application for coordination as painless as possible, please use the electronic form provided on this web site to make any updates or requests. I will contact you if I have any questions. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
